For cheaper accommodation, visitors to Barcelona should try a hostel or hostal. Hostels like Alberg Palau and Welcome Inn will often be the cheapest option, offering dormitory and private accommodation.

Hostals like Hostal Levante and Residencia Ausralia are more like guest houses than hostels, but are cheaper than hotels.

Affordable accommodation

For a few more euros, there are plenty of hotels to choose from in Barcelona, such as the Hotel Montblanc and the Hotel Rialto, both of which are based in the heart of the city.

Luxury accommodation

For something that little bit special and those with plenty of cash to spare, the beachfront Ritz-Carlton in Barcelona, boasts panoramic views and bags of facilities, as does the grand Hotel Claris.
