Details of what's on in Washington DC throughout the year

Washington DC offers a range of festivals, from traditional celebrations to contemporary electronic dance music parties.

Adams-Morgan Day in September is a huge street party with music from around the world, multi-cultural foods and crafts, in the north west of the city.

The Cherry Blossom Festival takes place at the end of March and the beginning of April, and while you are not guaranteed to catch the blossoming of the cherry flowers, as they tend to bloom at different times every year, the sight can be a truly spectacular one. It is regarded by many as the time to see Washington at its most beautiful.
