What's on in Vancouver

Details of what's on in Vancouver throughout the year

Festival Vancouver in August is 12 days of quality music from top musicians from Canada and the rest of the world. The music policy is reserved yet diverse, focussing on classical, world and jazz music. Over 40 concerts take place over the city in venues such as Christ Church Cathedral, Orpheum Theatre and the UBC Recital Hall.

If you are in the city at the start of the year and are feeling brave, take the plunge in the icy waters of the English Bay for the Polar Bear Swim. It is a tradition for locals to go for an al fresco dip on new year's day, that dates back to 1920.
