Details of what's on in Salzburg throughout the year

The Salzburg Festival is a five to six week long summer festival, boasting top productions from the worlds of opera, drama and live classical concerts. It is manna for a travelling culture vulture, with open-air performances in Salzburg's balmy summer evenings.

More classical music is on offer at the Salzburg Easter Festival, which runs over the Easter period. There are a number of performances from the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and demand is such that only the quick off the mark get tickets.
