Festivals
Nuremberg is home to Germany's largest open air rock festivals –
Rock in the Park and
Rock on the Ring. The festivals, which attract 150,000 people, are held concurrently on Whitsun weekend at the Volkspark Dutzendteich.
For more refined tastes, the
Nuremberg Classic Open Air concert takes place in the middle of summer. The Nuremberg Philharmonic and the Nuremberg Symphony orchestras are among those to be heard.
