Festivals

Barcelona offers a range of festivals, from traditional celebrations to contemporary electronic dance music parties.

The Festa de la Verge de la Merce in September is Barcelona's biggest festival, and includes fantastic street parades, concerts and fireworks displays.

The Sonar Festival in June meanwhile turns the city into a hotbed of electronica and multimedia, with a swarm of DJs and live acts descending onto Barcelona for a hedonistic four-day party.
