Festivals
The Festival of Flanders-Antwerp celebrates home-grown classical music, from past legends to contemporary composers. In 2006 they remember the legacy of Jacob Obrecht and his peers with nearly 30 concerts spread across a week in August. In addition to concerts, visitors can enjoy workshops and lectures on the performances they have seen.

In September the district of Deurne and fireworks company Hendrickx&Lefeber get together to organise an three nights of international fireworks competitions at the Rivierenhof, where different countries compete to produce the best display.
