Canada's capital, Ottawa, is a scenic city that is blessed with crisp, clean air, striking buildings, good natural scenery and friendly people.

Very much a government city, it is home to a host of impressive governmental buildings on Parliament Hill, but this is not to say it is a city of seriousness.

There are a number of acclaimed entertainment venues dotted all over the city, which has the facilities of a bigger city while managing to retain the charm of a smaller one.

Ottawa sits on the impressive Ottawa River, which also leads into the beautiful Rideau Canal. The city is served by plenty of parks and woodland, and a trip to the nearest ski slope is but minutes away.
