Adelaide is losing its reputation as one of Australia's less exciting cities with a host of new hotels, bars and a series of major festivals livening up the city.
Grand renovated Victorian buildings, lots of parks and its very long beach make it a pleasant city to look around, and at festival times Adelaide can be one of the liveliest cities in the country.
Food and drink comes high-up Adelaide residents' things to do list, with lots of good seafood and internationally renowned wines on the city's doorstep driving the high numbers of places to eat out.
