Flights land in Sydney at Sydney airport. You can travel from the airport to Sydney city by a variety of bus types, including shuttle bus services, public transport and if you are lucky, complimentary buses laid on by where you are staying. A shuttle bus will need to be pre-booked.
Public bus services run between Bondi Junction and Burwood, stopping at the airport in both directions. For a full bus timetable, check

A quick and convenient way from the airport to the city is by train, using the Airport Link, which takes only 13 minutes.
Taxis are readily available, but cost an average of AU$30 to get to Sydney city.
