Airports and Rail: Madrid

Flights from the UK land at Barajas airport, which is about 15-20 minutes outside Madrid. Jump on line eight of the metro (the underground) to get from the airport to the city centre, or a taxi should cost around €20.

By rail you can catch the Eurostar from London to Paris, France, with a journey time of 2 hours and 40 minutes. A night train (the trainhotel) can then be taken from Paris to Madrid. Fares for London-Paris start from £59 return, while the trainhotel starts from £89.
