Getting around Vienna

Most parts of Vienna can be reached with the city's many buses, trains, trams and underground lines.
Tickets are cheaper when bought in advance and can be purchased at ticket machines at stations and at tobacconists for €1.50 each.
If you are planning to make a few trips a 24-hour season ticket for €5, or a 72-hour one for €12 are the best value.
