Getting around Brisbane

Brisbane covers a big area, but has a number of transport options available including trains, ferries and buses.
For unbeatable value in the Central Business District you can ride the free downtown bus called The Loop. The service circles Brisbane's Central Business District stopping at several destinations including Central Station, Queen Street Mall, City Botanic Gardens, Riverside Centre, QUT and King George Square.
A popular and quick way of travelling via the river are Brisbane's CityCats - catamarans that go to destinations including South Bank, the University of Queensland, New Farm and the city centre.
Alternatively, you can get CityFerries, which tend to be smaller boats and make more stops. Private ferry services also operate at Dutton Park and at Moggill.
The CityTrains network runs across south-east Queensland, and Brisbane's bus routes cover most areas of the city. A journey planner and other transport info is available at
