The second largest city in Belgium shares the country's wicked sense of humour and has a mass of monuments, fine art, museums, and activities such as the zoo to entertain the family.

Boat watchers and fans of the coast will be drawn to Antwerp's port, which is the second biggest in Europe. In spite of heavy bombing during the second world war, Antwerp's marvellous architecture has stood the test of time, encouraging lazy days walking around and admiring its gothic grandeur.
